The vintage everyone will wish they'd bought more of once the 2022 takes its place. Decanter found it "beautifully layered and highly fragrant, with remarkable precision and focus" — supple dark cherry and blackberry wrapped in velvety tannins, gliding to a finish of baking spice and clean acidity.

Decanter's 98 points come with a sentence collectors dream about: "might well be one of the finest wines they've produced... undoubtedly set to be one of Silver Oak's longest-lived wines." Blackberry and warm spice, black truffle, graphite, a chalky-earth finish — generous now, built for 2050.
