Return Policy

Artisan Wine & Spirits is grateful for your business. We want you to be satisfied with every aspect of your experience. If you are dissatisfied for any reason, we would love to hear from you and try to make things right . Please note, however, that California does not  allow the return of alcohol unless it is damaged, spoiled or otherwise unfit for consumption.

ALCOHOL 

Please check your purchases carefully before completing your purchase. California Alcohol Beverage Control regulations prevent us from issuing refunds or returns unless the product is damaged, spoiled or otherwise unfit for consumption, or if it had been shipped to you in error.

If the alcohol is spoiled, you will need to provide evidence by bringing back the opened bottle with wine in it. It should be kept closed with the original cork. Products need to be returned to our store. If the product was shipped and it is impractical to bring the wine to our store, call or email us for instructions. Note that it's standard practice in the wine trade that all bottles five years or older are purchased at the buyer's risk.

If you receive your wine and it has been damaged during shipment, please contact us within 3 days of receiving the shipment. Include a description of the damage and send pictures if possible. We will arrange for the damaged products to be replaced. Note however, that we recommend shipment by air during the summer months and cannot be held responsible for heat-related problems such as expelled corks should you choose to use ground shipping.

NON-ALCOHOL 

If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with your purchase of any non-alcohol items, we will make every effort to accommodate your refund request. We ask that merchandise be returned within 30 days of the purchase date.

For gift purchases: Upon refund confirmation, the gift recipient will receive store credit, or a gift card. For cash refunds larger than $150, a check will be mailed within 5 business days to the purchaser.

REFUNDS FOR DAMAGE ITEMS IN SHIPMENT 

Once your returned item(s) is/are received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment within 5 business days. 

ARTISAN WINE & SPIRITS GIFT CARD POLICY

Artisan Wine & Spirits gift cards do not expire, have no fees, and are redeemable online, in-store or over the phone. Gift cards may not be returned or redeemed for cash.

CANCELLATION OF AN ORDER

To cancel your order, please contact us at help@artisan.wine.com.  If the product is still in our store and is in its original packaging, we will refund your purchase. Cancellations are only accepted within 10 days of the date of purchase. You will be charged a 10% restocking fee, and a 4% credit card fee if a credit card was used. 

COST OF SHIPPING FOR A RETURNED ITEM

We will cover the cost for return shipping, only if we made a mistake on your order. Otherwise, you are solely responsible for the cost to return items by shipping.
