About this Whiskey:
A Small Batch blend of High Rye and Low Rye mashbills.
Proof:109 (55%)
Tasting Notes:
Nose: Beautiful layering of brandied cherry over a mildly tart cherry. It opens up with time and is reminiscent of cutting into your dessert with your fork which releases cinnamon and baking spices with just a hint of oak to remind you that this is high proof youthful.
Palette: A robust rye with dark cherry, burnt vanilla, and spices for days. It's a delicious rye with a weighty mouthfeel. Insanely well balanced with the alcohol so perfectly integrated at 109 proof you'll forget its there, but you'll find yourself smiling more and happier with each dram.
Finish: Long and the spices dominate this batch, while the cherry does punch its way through to the surface.

"It is difficult to say whether another rye product on the market tastes quite like their 4 Year Rye. The product has grown in complexity from its younger offering like any great product should, and has good availability and is priced right. Willett 4 Year Rye continues to showcase their distilling prowess by offering a one-of-a-kind tasting rye whiskey." - Breaking Bourbon
"This whiskey is attention grabbing. The nose retains its floral and botanical scents but adds layers of complex caramel notes. The palate too features uncommon flavor notes you don’t often find in conjunction with one another. While some craft distilleries have produced unique tasting ryes in their own regard, they often can shake their youth and overall graininess. That’s where Willett shines. There is surprising depth to the 4 Years sip, and while it does feature a toasted grain note in its finish, it adds dimension and doesn’t distract. This swirling and layering of contrasting flavors somehow comes together in the end, and against the odds, this patchwork of flavors works." - The Whiskey Wash
