Notes from the Winemaker:
Combining the very best of our collaboration with winemakers Philippe Melka and Maayan Koschitzky and our own Rhône varietals from the Annadel Gap Vineyard, the 2017 Legend is a Cabernet Sauvignon driven blend along with estate Syrah, Grenache and Mourvèdre. The wine is dark ruby in color with unctuous aromas of shaved chocolate, cassis, dried tobacco and black cherry. The full-bodied palate has an expansive breadth in the mouth and a finely grained, seamlessly long finish.

Winemaking:
Philippe Melka, consultant to some of Napa's most highly regarded vineyards, had full control of winemaking and blending of the 2017 Legend. Like his critically acclaimed 2016 Legend, his goal was to craft this proprietary blend, bringing together the best from our own biodynamically farmed Estate, Annadel Gap Vineyard, complimented with specially sourced organic and sustainable wines from Sonoma County & Napa Valley. 54% Annadel Gap, 25% Sonoma County, 21% Napa Valley.

Varietals: 46% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Syrah, 19% Mourvèdre and 10% Grenache

"The 2016 Legend Annadel Gap Vineyard is made up of 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 24% Grenache, 14% Syrah and 7% Mourvèdre, a real kitchen-sink blend! Deep garnet-purple colored, it leads with cassis and baked plums notes followed by an undercurrent of menthol, dried herbs, tilled soil and tobacco plus a waft of spice box.
