About the whiskey:

A Northwest twist on tradition, this whiskey is finished in French Oak casks sourced from some of Oregon’s most celebrated Pinot Noir producers.

We begin with Westward Whiskey Original, then rest it for up to two years in wine casks from the heart of Oregon’s Willamette Valley. These casks bring vibrant red fruit notes, layered with earthy spice and a touch of tannin, while allowing our bold whiskey to remain front and center.

While others look to sherry or port, we look to our roots—honoring the American Northwest’s winemaking excellence with a one-of-a-kind cask finish.

"Mellow smoke and oak introduces this whiskey, layered with rich hints of espresso, pecan and toffee. The leathery, drying finish includes a hoppy, beer-like hint, along with plum skin, nutmeg and clove."

"The nose balances enticing aromas of tropical fruit—mango, jackfruit, papaya—with earthy clay and dark chocolate, a harbinger of the bright sweetness of the palate, which sings with grapefruit, lemon-lime zest, kiwi, and pineapple soda, plus roasted nuts and semi-dark chocolate.
