About this Wine:
A cuvée collection crafted from a unique blend of prestigious old reserve wines.
True to its expertise in the Art of Blending, Veuve Clicquot enriched its Extra Brut Extra Old collection in 2021 with a new cuvée composed of 8 years selected among its remarkable reserve wines: 1990, 1998, 1999, 2008, 2009, 2012, 2013, and 2014.
A precise Champagne made for wine lovers, this new wine is matured twice. First in vats on fine lees for several years, then in cellars for a further three years before disgorgement, giving it its texture and aromatic complexity.

Ratings & Reviews
94 Points - Decanter Magazine:
"The next step up from Yellow Label, this cuvée is a blend of exclusively reserve wines, from the 1990, 1998, 1999, 2008, 2009, 2012, 2013 and 2014 vintages. Tasted in magnum, the addition of the older vintages adds layers of deeper flavour – honey, lime marmalade and a touch of truffle – to the fresh core of vibrant citrus and stone fruit. Savoury toastiness gives way to a wonderfully zesty finish." - Julie Sheppard (Jul 2024)
92 Points - Wine Spectator:
"A harmonious version in a firm, finely knit style, with a creamy mousse and a subtle range of toasted almond, baked pear and preserved lemon flavors underscored by minerally salt and chalk notes." - Alison Napjus (Dec 2020)
91 Points - Wine Advocate:
"One of the most interesting wines in the Veuve Cliquot portfolio is the NV Extra-Brut Extra Old, a blend of reserve wines from 2010 back to 1988—though the latter only represents some 2% of the assemblage—that spent three years in foudre before tirage, followed by three years sur lattes before disgorgement. Opening in the glass with a complex bouquet of toasted nuts, candied peel, orchard fruit, peach and smoke, it's medium to full-bodied, rich and saline, with a textural profile, lively acids and a long finish." - William Kelley (Apr 2020)
