About This Wine:
Our 2013 Chardonnay is rich and elegant with delicate floral aromas of jasmine flower, and orange blossom that meld together harmoniously with citrus fruit, and vanilla wafer. On the palate, the wine is balanced with viscosity and acidity presenting a complex mouth feel of moderate tannin and minerality. Fruit flavors of fresh pineapple, peach, and nectarine evolve into toasted meringue and orange blossom notes for a pleasantly long finish.
Winemaking:
Our Chardonnay was hand harvested in the cool morning hours to preserve flavor and aromatics. The 2013 features our favorite clones: the Wente and Mt. Eden. The juice was barrel fermented and aged for 19 months in 70% new French oak barrels. To add richness and complexity to the wine, we stirred the lees every two weeks. It was then bottled in May of 2015.
