Notes from the Winemaker:
Tua Rita is a winery situated in Suvereto, Tuscany. When Rita and Virgilio bought it in 1984, the land was supposed to offer just the picturesque surroundings in which they would live in touch with nature. Those original 2 hectares of vines have now become 51 hectares. Today, what started as amusing ‘vins de garage’, are wines that are exported everywhere in the world thanks to the marketing of Rita and Virgilio’s son-in-law, Stefano Frascolla. The wines of Tua Rita all have one element in common: the personality of the earth with its ferrous notes and a penetrating and rapid, progressive development of their flavor. Perlato del Bosco is the name of the pink marble stone found in our vineyards

Tasting Notes:
Perlato del Bosco Vermentino has plenty of character and a strong personality. The nose reflects tropical fruits and white flowers, very crisp.

Food Pairing: Perlato del Bosco pairs nicely with seared or raw tuna, veal, or other delicate meat dishes, and sea food.

Ratings & Reviews

92 Points - Wine Enthusiast:
"A very fresh but also warm nose offers garden hose and wet slate notes, followed by salted lemon slices, and then grows rich with almonds and toasted spices. The palate stays savory and salty, with citrus high tones and nutty, earthy undertones leading into a sophisticated astringent, grapefruit pith finish. - DC (Oct 2023)

90 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"Made with the popular Vermentino grape, the Tua Rita 2021 Perlato del Bosco Bianco embraces white flowers and citrus over a crisp, lean-bodied style. The 2021 vintage was also quite hot, following 2020, but these 20-year-old vines have deep roots and Vermentino tends to love sunny, coastal growing conditions. There is some brief skin contact (lasting 24 hours) and dry ice is used to maintain low temperatures and protect against oxidized flavors. Aging on the lees gives the wine a touch of softness." - Monica Larner (May 2023)

90 Points - Wine Spectator:
"Offers a core of lemon flavors complemented by thyme, sage, floral and saline notes. Fresh and creamy, charming and complex, with excellent balance and a long finish. Drink now through 2026. 1,917 cases made, 300 cases imported." - BS (Oct 2023)
