About the Winery:
Tua Rita is a winery situated in Suvereto, Tuscany. When Rita and Virgilio bought it in 1984, the land was supposed to offer just the picturesque surroundings in which they would live in touch with nature. Those original 2 hectares of vines have now become 51 hectares.Today, what started as amusing ‘vins de garage’, are wines that are exported everywhere in the world thanks to the marketing of Rita and Virgilio’s son-in-law, Stefano Frascolla. The wines of Tua Rita all have one element in common: the personality of the earth with its ferrous notes and a penetrating and rapid, progressive development of their flavor.

About the Wine:
To those who asked Virgil, founder of the company together with his wife Rita, which of the wines of the production he preferred, he replied without hesitation: "La Syrah, per sempre" (the Syrah, forever and ever). Alongside the traditional vineyards he wanted Syrah: he personally took care of the vineyard, observed it, tried to understand its ability to integrate with the territory and waited until he decided that the fruits were ready for autonomous winemaking.

The label is dedicated to the one who founded the company and who transmitted to all those who work there the love and respect for the territory, combined with the continuous and meticulous search for quality ... FOREVER!

Hand-crafted by the esteemed winemaker Luca d'Attoma, Tua Rita Syrah is a beautiful expression of this noble variety. Yields are kept to a minimum to ensure flavor concentration. Remarkably layered and complex, this Syrah is pure harmony in the glass and a must-have for every collector of fine Tuscan wines.

Tasting Notes

Deep garnet in color, notes of ripe blackberries and plums complement undertones of figs, black pepper, and violets. On the palate, it is full-bodied with silky tannins and flavors that unfold into the lush finish.
