Notes from the Winemaker:
Cuvée Juveniles was created as a ‘Cote Du Rhone’ inspired bistro wine from the classic Barossa varieties of Grenache, Mataro (Mourvedre) and Shiraz from mostly old, unirrigated vineyards. These varieties are the cornerstone of the Barossa Valley and are intrinsic in the wines that are so easily appreciated around the world and often referred to as GSM blends by sommeliers and consumers alike.

Ratings and Reviews:
94 Points - Wine & Spirits:Torbreck’s most delicious offerings come, in this reviewer’s opinion, not from its Shiraz-dominant wines but from its Grenache, which, and in this case, makes up 61% of the blend. It leads with tangy rhubarb, red berry, orange zest and strawberry leaf, with earthy undertones like cumin, coffee and meat, which all flow seamlessly onto a palate of silky, pristine fruit, crunchy acidity and savory spice. This is polished and approachable but also complex and focused.
92 Points - James Suckling:
This is a really crunchy red made from grenache, mataro, carignan and counoise with plenty of bright fruit, with open tannins and a savory and spicy finish. Torbreck calls it a lunchtime red. Agreed. Delicious now.
91+ Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
The 2022 Cuvee Juveniles is lipstick pink and lusty and fresh, with savory spice and black cherry in profusion. There is kirsch and peppercorns, salted licorice and Satsuma plum and raspberry pip. I tasted this wine almost a year ago, and it has settled and evolved beautifully in that time. In its way, it has clarity and freshness and lovely, grippy tannins. I like it. 15% alcohol, sealed under screw cap.
