About Tommasi:
Tommasi has proudly presided over Italy’s Veneto region for over 120 years, with wines that are both renowned for their superior quality and consistently regarded as reference points for their respective appellations. As one of the single most influential producers in Italy, the winery is committed to sustainable practices and continues to craft each wine from 100% estate-owned vineyards.
About this Wine:
De Buris is a dream that has distant roots, when the Tommasi family bought the vines of La Groletta, a recognized area for the production of Amarone and a cru symbol of the Valpolicella Classica. Villa de Buris contains two thousand years of history in the Valpolicella area: here the de Buris project has found the ideal space in which to grow and develop. Today, the De Buris wines come from selected organic parcels of the La Groletta cru and are patiently aged in a dedicated cellar at the historic villa first in large Slavonian oak, then in the bottle.

Ratings & Reviews
97 Points - Vinous Media:
"More savory than sweet, the 2013 Amarone della Valpolicella de Buris captivates with an array of dusty sage, rosemary, spiced orange peels and dried cherries lifted by hints of camphor. Cool-toned and classic in feel, it swirls across the palate with citrus-laced wildberry fruits and salty mineral tones, all supported by brisk acidity. It tapers off with gobs of tension, long and staining, leaving grippy tannins and a sour blackberry twang that keeps the mouth salivating for more. A classic in the making. (Drink between 2026-2045)" - Eric Guido (Sep 2025)
94 Points - James Suckling:
"An earthy and spicy wine with coffee powder, curry and plum aromas. Full-bodied, it shows velvety tannins, a dense palate, refreshing acidity and a polished aftertaste. Drinkable now, but best from 2026." (Jul 2025)
