Notes from the Maker:
The second release in The Glenlivet's Beyond Speyside series, after the Jamaica Edition, takes the distillery's 12 Year Old to the south of France. A portion of the whisky was selectively finished in French sweet wine casks and in Provence Cru Classé wine casks from Château Sainte Marguerite, making it the first Glenlivet finished in French white wine casks. Whisky Advocate reports the three cask types as Château Sainte Marguerite white wine, Rivesaltes and Sauternes. It is a limited edition, and it won Gold at the 2026 Scotch Whisky Masters.
"Working with French sweet wine casks and the exceptional cru classé casks from Château Sainte Marguerite allowed us to add a new layer of complexity and elegance. The light, fruity, and floral notes evoke the beauty of Provence, creating a truly unique and sophisticated single malt that we are incredibly proud of." -The Glenlivet Cask Master

Awards/Reviews:
91 Points - Whisky Advocate:
"An interesting mélange of fruit greets the nose, including grape jam, plums, baked peach, dried cranberries, and marmalade, alongside cloves and marzipan. Grape and plums reemerge for a light but flavorful palate, with apricot rings, cinnamon, vanilla, and pleasant tannins. It ends fairly mellow, with baked orchard fruits, red berries, candied orange peel, and peach, with softer tannins providing balance and structure. A thoroughly pleasurable experience, with delicious flavors that are somewhat restrained by the low proof." -Danny Brandon (Sep 2026)
91 Points - VinePair:
"If this household name is often overlooked by the experts, this new limited release is quite a bit more exciting. The classic Speyside single malt is finished in previously unused French sweet wine casks and Provence Cru Classé wine casks, creating an incredibly floral nose with a more fruity, juicy palate." -Aaron Goldfarb (Sep 2026)
