About the Winery:
The specialty label of Vineyard 29 wine director Keith Emerson and his wife Stacey, Sonria produces limited quantity Pinot Noir and Rosé from Shea Vineyard in Willamette Valley. Reflecting his passion for classic, 1980s-‐era Oregon Pinot Noir, Emerson crafts the wine from Oregon’s traditional Pinot clones— Pommard, which imparts structure and velvety texture, and Wädenswil, with high-‐toned fruit and aromatics. Sonria stands out among Shea Vineyard Pinot Noirs for its authentic expression of terroir, classic style and exquisite flavor profile.

Critics Rating:

93 Points - Vinous:

"Deep brilliant red. Potent, mineral-laced aromas of black raspberry, cherry cola, pungent flowers and woodsmoke gain a subtle vanilla nuance as the wine opens up. Juicy and expansive on the palate, offering sweet red and dark berry and spicecake flavors that tighten up on the back half. Shows the depth and power of the vintage but comes off surprisingly lithe. Finishes with excellent, fruit-driven persistence and gentle tannins that shape the juicy, sweet fruit. (Drink between 2019-2025)" - Josh Raynolds (Dec 2016)
