Notes from the Winemaker:
Chardonnay is the very soul of Ruinart. The grape, mainly harvested from the Côte des Blancs and Montagne de Reims terroirs, is at the heart of all our cuvées.

The blend is 100% Chardonnay from various years (20 to 25% of which are reserve wines from the 2 previous years).

A large majority of Premiers Crus from the Côte des Blancs and Montagne de Reims vineyards for aromatic refinement, supplemented by Sézannais wines known to provide maturity. Finally, several wines from the north of the Vesle valley give a light, fresh touch.

Tasting Notes:
Visually, the Ruinart Blanc de Blancs has a brilliant robe with a beautiful pale yellow color and slight hints of almond green and jade green reflections.

The first nose reveals intense aromas of fresh fruit: ripe lemon, juicy pear, or freshly picked peach. The secondary aromas are more floral with hints of white flowers, accompanied by a spicy touch combining ginger and pink peppercorns.

Balancing tension with roundness, the enveloping structure is highlighted by fresh aromas of ripe citrus and tropical fruit. With a long and delicate finale.

Food Pairing:
A perfect champagne for aperitifs, particularly in spring and summer.  It is an excellent complement to seafood and shellfish; perfect with a sea bass or bream tartare. It would also be very good with seared sole.

Ratings & Reviews

94 Points - Wine Enthusiast:
"Ruinart is a specialist in Blanc de Blancs Champagne. This wine is finely balanced between maturity and taut fresh, mineral-driven fruit. From the Côte des Blancs, the wine is poised and ready to drink." - Roger Voss (Dec 2023)

92 Points - James Suckling:
"Lemon tart, grapefruit and almonds on the nose, followed by a rounded, silky palate with soft bubbles. Pretty lemon curd and vanilla flavors to close." (Jul 2025)

92 Points - Wine Spectator:
"An elegant Champagne, with a luxe, finely detailed feel to the mousse and a well-honed spine of fine china–like acidity animating flavors of poached pear, white peach, almond biscotti and mineral. Appealing hints of white blossoms, ground ginger and blood orange pith linger on the finish. Drink now through 2030." - Alison Napjus (Nov 2025)

91 Points - Jeb Dunnuck:
"The NV Champagne Blanc De Blancs Brut comes mostly from the 2021 base vintage, where 40% reserve wine was used (about 10% more than in more productive years due to the loss of mildew pressure in the vintage). All stainless steel-fermented with full malo, it pours a bright silver/straw color, and the nose is quite appealing, with aromas of bread dough, attractive white flowers, citrus zest, and fresh lime. Easygoing and approachable, it has a chalky texture feel with a kiss of sweet fruit and is quite elegant. It’s perfect for drinking now or over the next 5-6 years. 7 grams per dosage liter. (Drink between 2024-2031)." - Audrey Frick (Dec 2024)
