About the Winery:
Located in the tiny municipality of Sant Esteve Sesrovires, within the Alto Penedés D.O. region of Catalonia, Cava producer Roger Goulart was founded in 1882 by the Canals family and is quite impressive to visit because the winery was designed by Ignasi Mas i Morell, who was a contemporary of Antonio Gaudí. It has more than 3,000 feet of cellars that are buried 100 feet under the ground.

Throughout its more than 135-year history, Roger Goulart has earned a distinguished reputation for the production of traditional method sparkling wines and cavas primarily produced from the autochthonous grape variety Xarel-lo, which provides the character and structure necessary for the long aging of Reserva and Gran Reserva cavas.

Roger Goulart was one of the first wineries in Spain to produce traditional method wines with extra long bottle aging under these conditions and today remains committed to these measures of quality.

Tasting Notes:
Pale yellow color with slight golden reflections, very bright, good release of fine bubbles and crown formation on the surface of the glass. On the nose it shows clear notes of aging with predominance of aromas of dried fruit, toast, ripe stone fruit, dried flowers and brioche. In the mouth it is quite voluminous, with lively acidity present and crisp. Very well integrated with a long and persistent finish, leaving a delicate creamy bouquet and notes of aging on yeast.
