About this Wine:
VINEYARD Rockpile Ridge Vineyard is located at nearly 1,200-ft. elevation in the Rockpile appellation. This vineyard has sweeping sun exposures from southeast to northwest and consists of nine distinctly different blocks of Zinfandel. The blocks are all harvested at different times and fermented separately to ensure the integrity and uniqueness of the individual blocks.

The varied sun exposures, soil compositions, slopes and drainages make these sites a winemaking dream come true and are what make our Rockpile Ridge Zinfandel so spectacular.

Our 2023 Rockpile Ridge Vineyard Zinfandel has rich aromas of blackberry compote, crushed toasted walnut, violet, sassafras and sweet earthen spice with notes of cola berry. The entry is driven by ripe juicy dark fruits, a firm core of mountain tannins and lingering of spice. With ample aeration, this Zinfandel will be even more fabulous. Plan to enjoy over the next 10-12 years.

The 2023 Rockpile Zinfandel Rockpile Ridge Vineyard has broody scents of blackcurrant, blueberry, pepper, cast iron and garrigue. The full-bodied palate features powerful yet detailed iron and violet flavors. It’s framed by bright acidity and muscular tannins and has a long, spicy finish. It will benefit from time in the cellar. 2025-2040.
