About the Winery:
With a passion for Bordeaux and a personal philosophy of the importance of balance between autonomy and collaboration, Dr. Revana enlists the talents of Thomas Rivers Brown as winemaker, and Jim Barbour as vineyard manager, to create one of Napa Valley's premier estates. The estate is located just north of St Helena in one of the cooler micro climates of Napa Valley, preserving a natural elegance and purity. Extremely limited irrigation to encourage vine stress. 100% Napa Valley Fruit from Oak Knoll, St Helena and Calistoga AVAs. Five day cold-soak prior to 16 day whole berry fermentation.

About the wine:
From a selection of three distinctly different iconic single-vineyard terroirs within the sub-AVAs of St. Helena, Oak Knoll, and Atlas Peak. Under the guidance of two Napa Valley legends, Vineyard Manager, Jim Barbour, and Winemaker, Thomas Rivers Brown, this fruit is hand-picked, hand-sorted , and then whole berry fermented in micro-fermentation batches. This results in a richly textured Napa Valley Cabernet Blend that is incredibly approachable upon release.

Ratings & Reviews

95 Points - International Wine Review:
"A spectacular Cabernet Sauvignon from Revana that is a mélange of 77% Cabernet Sauvignon, 16% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc, and 2% Petit Verdot and is aged for 20 months in 60% new French oak. A deep ruby core with a neon purple rim shows what is to come. A heavenly nose of crushed boysenberry, black plum, blueberry compote, dark chocolate, scorched sage, caramelized orange peel, and purple violet shows the complexity of the wine. Lip-smacking acidity, a full-bodied mouthfeel, crunchy sweet tannins, and secondary notes of cedar, herbs and black fruit preserve complete this well-balanced wine. Better in 2023 and then drink over the next 15 years." - J. Young (Feb 2023)

94 Points - Wine Spectator:
"This is packed with waves of steeped plum, boysenberry compote and açaí reduction, dripping with fruit but keeping its form and detail thanks to underlying tar and graphite notes. Presents pretty violet and anise accents, which fill in the background. Best from 2023 through 2036. 1,400 cases made." - JM (Jun 2022)

92 Points - Jeb Dunnuck:
"A rich, mouth-filling, slightly chewy wine that brings the fruits, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Terroir Series offers up lots of chocolaty blackcurrant, tobacco, and roasted herb aromatics, medium to full body, a round, mouth-filling texture, and outstanding length on the finish. It will certainly scratch any Cabernet itch you might have. Drink it over the coming decade or so." (Dec 2021)
