Tasting Notes:

Initial Impressions: Bright tropical fruit characters followed by rich toasted coconut, and vanilla. An easy sipper, and great in cocktails.

Aroma: Tropical fruits, vanilla, caramelized pineapple, banana chips, and toasted coconut.

Palate: Good acidity, rich layered brown butter, caramel, guava and papaya - tropical fruit sweetness nishing dry with a hint of butterscotch

Awards/Reviews:

94 Points - Vinepair

"Consider R.L. Seale's 12 year expression a textbook example of aged Barbados rum. This 46 percent ABV bottling shines with notes of vanilla, molasses, and baking spices, while warm toastiness lingers on its long finish. This one's a sipper, for sure."

"Aromas of toasty oak and coconut husk play with a significant overripe fruit element — quite tropical — that feels perfect for tiki. The palate again pops with that overripe fruit note, plus some secondary elements of nutty almonds, sesame seed, and a cream soda sweetness. A light floral character emerges later in the game on a body that is surprisingly gentle considering the slightly elevated abv. The rum’s nutty elements build as the finish arrives, where some greener, somewhat vegetal characteristics come into play. The conclusion winds things down with a welcome lick of vanilla." - Drinkhacker
