About the Winery:
Produttori del Barbaresco exclusively vinifies Nebbiolo grapes from the vineyards owned by the 50 member-growers in within the Barbaresco DOCG appellation.
In any given vintage a Barbaresco and a Nebbiolo Langhe are produced. The former, first released in the 1958 vintage, is made by assembling grapes from different fully grown vineyards. This is the flagship wine of the winery, known all over the world for the solid quality and great value that it represents. The latter, first released in 1975, is made with a selection of grapes from younger vineyards in within the region. It is suited for earlier consumption and it is a great way to introduce one’s palate to the beauty of the Nebbiolo grape and the Barbaresco terroir.
In great vintages only, nine single vineyards are produced and released after four years under the Riserva (Reserve) program. These wines are produced from a selection of grapes sourced from nine historical premium sites within the Barbaresco village boundaries. Historical vineyards, known for centuries for producing high quality grapes and now worldwide famous also thanks to the Produttori del Barbaresco legacy. Their names are Asili, Montefico, Montestefano, Muncagota, Ovello, Pajè, Pora, Rabajà, Rio Sordo.
First released in 1967, they are vinified and aged with exactly the same style in order to show their different personalities at their best and purest form. A tasting of the nine "Produttori Crus" is therefore an unique experience, just like a walk through the hills of Barbaresco can be!

Ratings & Reviews
96 Points - Kerin O'Keefe:
"Riserva is a stunning, generous wine, with great aromas and layers of delicious flavors including succulent raspberry, Morello cherry, star anise and blood orange. While it's already immensely enjoyable, it also has a long life ahead. Abv: 14.5%." -Kerin O'Keefe (Sep 2025)
95+ Points - Jeb Dunnuck:
"A reflective, saturated ruby red color, the 2021 Barbaresco Riserva Pora opens with ripe aromas of raspberry, black cherry cordial, toasted cedar, and forest earth. Medium-bodied, it saturates the palate with plush fruit and an approachable texture while maintaining good length. It feels like one of the more immediate wines of the range in this noble vintage, although the oak will need time to fully integrate on the nose. Roughly 20,000 bottles were produced. Drink 2026-2046." -Audrey Frick (Apr 2026)
95+ Points - Ian D'Agata Wine Review:
"Bright deep red. Offers aromas of blueberry, dark plum and red cherry, plus delicate hints of sage and delicate earthy nuances that with Pora will typically become more apparent with age. Then showcases very pretty juicy, suave and sweet red fruit plus lovely acid/fruit/tannin balance and silky if youthful tannins. Very long and lifted on the strongly mineral finish. Not unlike the 2016 Riserva Pora, but that was more marked by red fruit and greater vibrancy than this one, which is more about dark fruit. Three growers provide the fruit for this wine. Drinking Window: 2028-2038." -Ian D'Agata (Dec 2025)
95 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"From a 10.5-hectare vineyard rooted in limestone-rich soils, the Produttori del Barbaresco 2021 Barbaresco Riserva Pora opens my annual tasting of the Riservas. I usually start with Pora because of its fine, silky personality and its more accessible fruit profile, which leans toward primary aromas of sweet cherry and raspberry. The 2021 vintage adds an extra layer of precision, delivering a wine of remarkable focus and definition, yet there is a moment of youthful fleshiness on the mid-palate. Fermented in stainless steel and aged in large oak botti, this wine captures the graceful side of Barbaresco while showcasing the exceptional balance of the vintage. Drinking Window: 2026-2048." -Monica Larner (Jul 2026)
95 Points - Vinous:
"The 2021 Barbaresco Riserva Pora is a fabulous introduction to the single-vineyard wines in this range. Pliant and resonant in the glass, the 2021 impresses with its solid core of fruit and exceptional balance. A wine of depth and structure, the Pora is compelling. Wild cherry fruit, spice, new leather and blood orange fill out the layers. This is an especially fine Pora. There is so much to look forward to. Drinking Window: 2027-2041." -Antonio Galloni (Oct 2025)
95 Points - Wine Spectator:
"Offering a mix of cherry, raspberry, strawberry, floral and mineral aromas and flavors, this red starts out round and open before dense, chalky tannins emerge. This almost feels approachable now yet should develop well over time. The lasting impression is of ripe fruit. Best from 2028 through 2047."
95 Points - James Suckling:
"Stunning depth on the nose of this complex red, showing dried violets and roses, intoxicating balsamic, strawberries, cherries and a distinctive leafy lightness with a whiff of mint. Elegant on the attack, with ripe, velvety and tightly knit tannins. Extracted and savory with refreshing acidity, showing stony minerality and licorice in the very persistent, multilayered finish. March 2026 release. It will last for decades. Drink or hold." -Aldo Fiordelli (Nov 2025)
