Notes from the Winemaker:
This wine has bright aromas of melons and honeysuckle. The palate is crisp with good acidity, a touch of tannins, and bright stone fruits. This unique wine from the eastern hills of the Napa Valley showcases the diversity of our property.

Appellation / Vineyards:
Priest Ranch wines are all estate grown and bottled from the historic 638 acre Priest Ranch portion of the Somerston Estate. In 2013, our Grenache Blanc grapes came from Block 7, a small 2.7 acre vineyard planted at 1200 ft elevation.

Winemaking:
Priest Ranch Grenache Blanc was fermented in both stainless steel drums and tanks. Native yeasts fermented the wine at a controlled 60° F. Aged about 10% in neutral French oak.

Ratings & Reviews

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"Delicious floral, pear and medium to full-bodied, the 2013 Grenache Blanc has seen no new oak and is all the better for it. One expects to see some Grenache Blanc from California's Central Coast, but didn't realize there was much in Napa. This certainly is a delicious, potent wine at 14.1% natural alcohol at a good price. I imagine it's very flexible with an assortment of cuisines." - Robert M. Parker, Jr. (Oct 2014)
