2009 Vintage - Notes from the Winemaker:

The wine has bright red fruit aromatics of lush dark berries and a hint of spice. It is full bodied, bold in character and focused. The tannins are developing with good acidity. Over the next few years, the wine will evolve and is expected to reach maturity in 2022. 93 points Wine Advocate Issue #204.

Ratings & Reviews

94 Points - Antonio Galloni:

"A striking wine, the 2010 Red Blend Priest Ranch Coach Gun bursts from the glass with layers of vibrant dark fruit. Mocha, espresso and black cherries are some of the many nuances that emerge over time. The 2010 has more inner sweetness and pure depth than the 2010, but quite a bit more structure as well, both of which lead me to think it will require at least a few additional years of cellaring to drink at its finest. A dark, sculpted finish rounds out this promising, deeply expressive wine." - Antonio Galloni (December 2012)

93 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate (2009 vintage):
"The 2009 Red Blend Priest Ranch Coach Gun fleshes out on the palate with layers of rich, deep fruit. Plums, incense, tobacco, spice and black cherries all take shape nicely as this voluptuous full-bodied wine shows off its highly appealing personality. There is a vein of underlying minerality that gives the wine its focus and energy to the juicy, super-inviting finish. This is a terrific showing. The 2009 is 74% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Merlot and 13% Petite Verdot. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2024." - Antonio Galloni (Dec 2012)
