About the Wine:

Their liveliest and most youthful style from Soave Classico, the Pieropan family has been producing this wine since the early 1900’s.

Generous, pleasingly fresh and versatile, it is made from the traditional varieties of Garganega and Trebbiano di Soave grown in family-owned vineyards situated in the Soave Classico zone.

Varietals: Garganega 85% Trebbiano di Soave 15%.

Vine Age: 6-60 years, depending on the vineyard

Harvest: Hand-picking, starting from mid-September for the Trebbiano di Soave and from October for the Garganega

Vinification: The grapes are destemmed and crushed in a protective environment. Free run juice is fermented at low temperatures (between 14-18°C) in glass-lined cement tanks.

Ageing: The wine remains in glass-lined cement tanks on the fine lees for a period which varies according to the vintage. In the spring following the harvest, the wine is bottled and then released after at least a further month in bottle.

Tasting Notes:
Color: Brilliant pale lemon color.

Perfume: The nose is delicate, with reminiscent aromas of almond blossoms and marzipan.

Palate: Good fruit concentration on the palate, nicely balanced by a zesty acidity that enhances its long finish.

Alcohol: 12%

Ratings and Reviews:

93 Points - Wine Enthusiast:
"Every year Pieropan captures the soul of Soave, Garganega and the vintage in such a pristine way that it keeps us in awe. This vintage shines with aromas of Fuji pears, Anjou apples, lemon blossom and flint. The palate is crisp with green apple skin and lemon zest flavors that give way to toasted almonds, acacia honey and a minerality so deep that you might as well be in a quarry. Drink now–2040." - Jeff Porter (Oct 2024)

90 Points - Vinous Media:
The 2023 Soave Classico is highly expressive and can be sensed over two feet from the glass. Swirling releases further depths of white flowers, candied lime, crushed green apples and hints of vanilla bean. It is energetic and supple with depths of tactile mineral tones and a core of saline-infused white pit fruits. This tapers off on a savory note, mixing green melon and hints of spice while leaving the palate completely refreshed." - Eric Guido (Sep 2025)
