Pelerin is the French word for pilgrim. The motif represents an old world traveler on his humble journey and is emblematic of our quest to produce top-level wines from the Santa Lucia Highlands appellation.
This is only the second release of Chardonnay, from vines planted in 2006. It shows California sunshine blended with Euro-style production, using 50% malolactic fermentation and 30% new oak. Both light-bodied and full-flavored, it is an elegant and precise white, with aromas of Rainier cherries, lemon and vanillan, crisp flavors of bright apple, pear and nutmeg, kiwi acidity and creme brulee. 234 cases produced.
