Vineyard Notes
For over 20 years, we have been proud to work with Charlie Chenoweth and his family to source both Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from the exceptional sites he farms in the cool Green Valley of the Russian Valley and beyond.

Winemaker Notes
Chenoweth Ranch is planted to a mix of Dijon clones that deliver one of the juiciest, richest wines in our single vineyard lineup. Savory aromas of wet rock, a dashing man's cologne and sandalwood meld with a refined red plum and dark cherry purity. The palate of this 2022 bottling is profound, giving layer upon layer of fine grain, almost filagree tannins. Powerful and persistent yet elegant. Past bottlings of this vineyard designate Pinot Noir have resulted in 15+ years of graceful ageing, and this vintage will follow suit.

Tasting Notes
The palate of this 2022 bottling from Chenoweth Home Ranch is profound, giving layer upon layer of fine grain, almost filagree tannins. Powerful and persistent yet elegant.

Reviews & Ratings (2022 vintage)

94 Points - James Suckling:
"A pretty nose of cherries, roses and earth with hints of cedar and mushrooms. The palate is juicy, with ripe cherry and tart plum flavors. Rich but nicely balanced, with a clean and lingering finish of oranges and savory herbs. Medium-bodied. Drink or hold."' (Aug 2025)

93 Points - Wine Advocate:
"The 2022 Pinot Noir Chenoweth Ranch was matured in 42% new French oak. It’s bursting with aromas of blackberry, tobacco, bergamot, sage and flint. Full-bodied, it floods the mouth with earth-laced flavors. It’s framed by pleasantly rustic tannins and bright acidity and has a long, spicy finish. It will benefit from time in a decanter." - Erin Brooks (Oct 2025)

93 Points - Wine Enthusiast:
"Aromas of bright Bing cherry and orange peel mingle with cedar and cinnamon on the nose of this Pinot. The palate delivers lively cherry, plum and fried shiitake flavors that become more earthy as the finish persists." - Tom R. Capo (Oct 2025)

92 Points - Wine Spectator:
"A succulent core of blood orange and raspberry pâte de fruit is inlaid with savory, sassafras and red tea details. There’s an underlying zip through the finish. Drink now through 2030." - JM (Sep 2025)
