Robert Parker's Wine Advocate (2011 vintage):
"The 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon comes from the same vineyard and 40% of the crop is aged in new American oak for ten months. There is a palpable edginess to the nose with blackberry, tart red cherry and crushed stone that is extremely well-defined. The palate is medium-bodied with very fine tannins, the judicious oak deftly interwoven into the crisp blackberry and blueberry fruit. The finish pulls back the throttle: refined, nicely focused with a wonderfully poised finish. Like the Malbec, this is indescribably good value. Drink now-2016." -Neal Martin (Oct 2012)
Wine Spectator Magazine:
"Fresh, with juicy acidity backing the dark currant and cherry fruit, with hints of spice and cedar. Drink now. 7,000 cases imported." -NW (Web Only - 2013)
Notes from the Winemaker:
Clean and fruitful in the nose. It aromas reminds of plums and quince, with a little touch of elegant oak. The mouth has a mild bouquet, blackberry and licorice fruit. Thick and burly. Rich and long finish with smoky accents of vanilla and lingering oak.
