About This Wine:
Southern Rhône Valley - North of Avignon - the vineyards cover the village of Châteauneuf-du-Pape and 4 neighboring villages.

Tasting Notes:
Nose:
Nose of a beautiful complexity combining licorice, prune, raisin, mocha, cocoa, spices and leather on a background of red fruit. A few notes of undergrowth and smoke emphasize the breeding.
Palate:
The mouth is structured and powerful but keeps the freshness typical of wines vinified in whole cluster. It is therefore complexity, finesse, structure and an incredible length in the mouth that will accompany your meals.

Ratings & Reviews

89 - 91 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"Another impressive red is the 2015 Chateauneuf du Pape Reine Jeanne, which has lots of strawberry, sappy flowers and spice in a full-bodied, nicely concentrated, elegant style. It’s not a blockbuster, but has fine, polished tannin and excellent length, and I suspect will drink well for 8-9 years." - Jeb Dunnuck (Oct 2016)

89 - 91 Points - Vinous Media:
"Bright ruby-red. Ripe dark berry and spicecake aromas are complemented by suggestions of licorice and candied flowers. Supple and broad on the palate, showing very good depth to the sweet black raspberry and cherry flavors. A smoky mineral quality emerges with air and carries through the gently tannic, herb-inflected finish, which leaves a zesty pepper note behind." - Josh Raynolds (Mar 2017)
