About the whisky

Introducing Oban Cask Strength Aged 15 Years Single Malt Scotch Whisky. A delicious expression from Oban Distillery with smooth notes of vanilla, brown sugar, pepper and spices from European Oak finished in ex-Oloroso & Palo Cortado sherry casks. Created for savoring life’s most special moments, hand-selected casks of maturing stock are finished for over four years in vibrant sherry casks, resulting in a single malt Scotch whisky that transports your palate. The distinctive saltiness of Oban is met with a flourish of raisin, charred orange rind, and toasted sugar. Bottled at natural cask strength, this Oban expression is best enjoyed neat or with a splash of water.

Awards/Reviews

Double Gold - SF World Spirits Competition 2025

95 Points, #2 Top 20 Of 2025 - Whisky Advocate

"Released this spring, this is a new take on Oban, aged in European and American oak, and finished for more than 4 years in oloroso and palo cortado sherry casks. That cask finishing lends so much alluring sweetness to this whisky. It lures you in with a nutty and sweet aroma, then reveals layers of chocolate, brown sugar, candied yams, and other sweets with complexity, balance, and elegance."
94 Points - Wine Enthusiast
"This topaz-hued whiskey has a rich caramel scent laced with stone fruit. The palate opens with toasted grain and espresso; adding water coaxes richer, nuttier tones, with a ribbon of caramel. The long, fiery finish includes black pepper and clove, interspersed with faint caraway and anise."
