Notes from the Winemaker:
Our flagship wine, a full-bodied, single vineyard red blend, grants a nod toward elegance for the 2015 vintage. This Bordeaux-style blend is silky, reserved and supremely balanced.

Lush aromatics of raspberry and dark cherry with a hint of eucalyptus, The Oracle is decadent, but with finesse. Earthiness and layers of dried flowers and cocoa integrate harmoniously into a finely balanced marriage between tannin and acid, providing the structure that ensures, like all impeccable beauties, this wine is sure to age gracefully.

2015 Vintage Notes:
The 2015 vintage in the Napa Valley will be known for lower than average yields, but very high quality fruit. Higher than average temperatures occurred in late winter and early spring, resulting in an earlier bud break and bloom. Colder temperatures in May (in the peak of bloom) caused uneven fruit set, which resulted in a smaller crop compared to previous years. However, good things come in small packages and our winemaking team was very pleased with the results from this small and early vintage.

Ratings & Reviews

91 Points - Wine Spectator:
"Maturing, with sage and sassafras notes permeating the core of steeped plum and loganberry fruit. Mesquite and cedar details check in on the finish for added range. A bit on the chewy side, but shows lots of character. Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Malbec. 1,600 cases made." - James Molesworth (Oct 2020)

90 Points - James Suckling:
"This has a very ripe feel with fruit that sits in the red-berry zone. Some baked berries, too. The palate has medium body and delivers a very ripe impression with tannins wrapping the finish firm. A blend of 55% cabernet sauvignon, 26% merlot, 13% cabernet franc, 3% malbec and 3% petit verdot." (Jan 2020)
