Makana Cellars is a family owned & operated company focusing on making the highest quality Napa wines possible. Our main emphasis is on small production Cabernet Sauvignon from the Diamond Mountain District of Napa Valley. We also produce boutique Cabernet's from the Stagecoach Vineyard of Napa Valley.
The 2013 vintage is yielding truly excellent wines, and our 2013 Diamond Mountain wines are no exception. The tannins in these wines are wonderfully soft making our blend immediately approachable.
Makana's grapes come from high atop Diamond Mountain. The vineyard sits almost 2000ft above the valley floor. Several clones are planted on the hillside giving the winemaker several options when putting together the final blending.
The wine is aged 20 months in French Oak.
Blend: 96.5% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2.5% Cab Franc, 1% Petit Verdot.
