About the Winery:
Maison Gilliard was founded in 1885 by Edmond Gilliard, who acquired the Clos du Mont and Clos du Brûle-Fer overlooking Sion. Thanks to its founder, the winery can claim to be one of the oldest in the Valais and one of the best known wine producers in Switzerland.
About this Wine:
La Dôle des Monts remains what it has always been: a harmonious blend of grape varieties. It combines the grace of a late-ripening Gamay with the robust character of Pinot Noir. It possesses the pedigree of the former and the elegance of the latter. Its allure lies entirely in its balance, its distinction, its luscious fruit aromas, and its beautifully integrated tannins. A wine steeped in legend, a wine of pure pleasure, the ideal wine for every occasion since 1886.
