Winemaker Notes:
Harvested in the cool Marlborough mornings from our certified-organic Woolshed vineyard and made in alternate vessels such as concrete eggs, amphorae and neutral oak barrels, this highly decorated certified organic Sauvignon Blanc is a real stunner. Delicious juicy peach and papaya are complemented by a flinty minerality. Beautifully rounded with layer upon layer of texture and silky mouthfeel, this wine has a long, complex finish. Organic, vegan friendly and from a single vineyard. Grown with love, made with care.

Pairs with oysters, seafood, pasta and chicken.

Tasting Notes:

Color: Pale straw with a hint of green and gold.

Aroma: Complex and elegant Sauvignon Blanc bouquet, with citrus blossom and wild flowers, surrounded by crushed ripe herbs and pineapple.

Palate: Dense fruit core of juicy melon and peach complemented by hints of ripe herbs and florals. Beautifully rounded with layer upon layer of texture, this wine has a long, complex finish with plenty of minerality, citrus, ripe stone fruit and an umami quality.

Ratings & Reviews

92 Points - Wine Enthusiast:
"Erica and Kim Crawford (yes, that one) aren't afraid to be different. This SB ramps up flavor and texture via the use of oak barrels and concrete eggs. The result is a rounder, richer Savvy B than most in the Marlborough stable, with honeyed grapefruit, peach pit and fresh herbs, and a creamy mouthfeel, neatly balanced by peachy acidity, and etched ever-so-slightly in salty sea air. Food friendly and full of personality." - Christina Packard (May 2025)

90 Points - Vinous Media:
"This is not your average 2023 Sauvignon Blanc. It's aromatically intriguing, with different layers appearing with every sniff. Initially, there are notes of medicinal herbs, followed by blackcurrant, green capsicum, passion fruit and even lime. Perhaps the diversity of scents could be attributed to the combination of fermentations across tanks, oak barrels, concrete eggs and amphorae. The palate is focused on texture: there's reassuring padding on the mid-palate despite being light in body, while there's drive and punch on the dry, herbal finish." - Rebecca Gibb MW (Mar 2025)

90 Points - Wine Spectator:
"A distinctive white, with white pepper and lemongrass notes, plus a whiff of lemon mint that adds aromatic interest to the core of lemon-lime and apple on a smooth and juicy frame. Demonstrates elegance on the finish. Drink now. 35,000 cases imported." - MW (Jun 2025)
