About the Winery:
Louis Roederer has been synonymous with the world's great Champagnes since 1776, and it is one of the rare family owned companies, which is still managed by the Roederer family today. They are also one of the only French champagne producers to own nearly 75 percent of the grapes in the most desirable vineyards in the Champagne. The property is located on 450 acres in the finest villages of Montagne de Reims, Côtes des Blancs, and Vallée de la Marne. Each region is selected to produce Chardonnay and Pinot Noir with the elegance needed for perfectly balanced champagne. The Louis Roederer vineyards rate an average 98 percent based on France’s statutory 100-point classification scale.

Notes From The Winemaker:
Inspired by the Champagne House’s savoir-faire in the harvest of a single year, this pure Chardonnay is grown on hillside plots in the Avize terroir in the heart of the “La Côte” estate. This champagne draws its strength from the intense chalkiness of these limestone soils which lend it its infinite freshness. With time, this champagne reveals the power and identity of these great terroirs.

The Blanc de Blancs 2019 cuvée was drawn off at low pressure in order to create a rounder and smoother effervescence. 23% of the wine was vinified in oak casks. Bottle-aged for 5 years and then left to rest for a further 8 months after disgorging to attain the perfect maturity. Zero malolactic fermentation. The dosage is 7 g/L.

Tasting Notes:
Deep yellow hue with bright tints. Delicate, ultra-fine and even bubbles. The bouquet chowcases Chardonnay at its finest: powdered chalk, candied lemon, white flowers (jasmine), harvest notes and lightly toasted almonds. It radiates a springtime airiness and the freshness of a sea breeze. Dense, concentrated, and intense on the palate. The crisp, juice fruit is beautifully brought out by caressing, unctuous bubbles. Seamlessly integrated, it displays precision and clarity of fruit, drawn out by a fresh, energetic saline finish. The oak is present yet discreet, adding a grainy, vinous structure that is both generous and mouthwatering, and a few white chocolate notes reminiscent of the finesse of the great white Burgundies.

"The 2019 Louis Roederer Blanc de Blancs Brut Millésime is an excellent young wine. All of the grapes that go into this bottling hail from the maison’s La Côte estate in Avize. Just over a quarter of the vins clairs for this vintage were barrel-fermented and raised in cask. It was disgorged in July of 2025, after five years aging sur latte, and finished with a dosage of seven grams per liter in this excellent vintage. The wine is still youthful, but offers up a refined and complex bouquet of apple, pear, almond, brioche, a touch of fresh nutmeg, just a hint of oak, a fine base of chalky minerality, dried flowers and a topnote of lemon zest. On the palate the wine is deep, crisp and full-bodied, with a lovely core of fruit, fine focus and complex, lovely mineral undertow, elegant mousse and impeccable balance on the long and precise finish. This is certainly approachable today, but it is still a young wine and giving it five or six years in the cellar will pay handsome benefits. 2026-2065." (Jun 2026)
