Laphroaig Batch 17 rewards those who yearn to explore. Our Original Cask Strength whisky is barrier-filtered to remove char particles and maintain purity, unleashing a rich character that’s true to the wind-lashed island from where it came: what you pour is what we draw from the barrel.

Our signature notes run wild alongside a soothing sweetness: stewed apple, vanilla cream and pears in syrup, followed by the familiar lappings of sea salt, herbal smoke, crisp seaweed and cooling menthol. Enjoy it neat or with water, for a gentle haze of glowing gold.

Tasting Notes:

Nose: Sweet, vibrant and smoky. A zesty expression with notes of candied apple slices, crème brûlée & sugared pastries

Palate: Initially sweet & fruity flavours are dominant, like stewed apple, vanilla cream & pears in syrup, followed by a wave of sea salt, peat and crisp seaweed.

Finish: Very long, with black pepper spice, antique, leather & a sweet grassy smoke, which fades to a tarry peat aroma.
