Sweeter than most Lagavulins, with vanilla ice cream, it has its characteristic punchy pepper, plus a slight minerality this year, along with flavors of green apple, sweet vanilla, and fudge against a backdrop of peat smoke. Plenty of grip on the finish, with smoke and spice; this shows everything Lagavulin can do to your palate."
