About the Winery:
Château Giscours is a historic property in the Margaux appellation, with vines first planted in the 16th century. Since 1995, Château Giscours has entered a new era in its history following its acquisition by the Albada Jelgersma family.
Just like Château Giscours, our second wine is thought about and designed in the vineyard from the spring onwards by our technical team. This process then continues in the winery to ensure that the wine’s full identity and elegance is revealed.
Winegrowing and winemaking activities are completed to very high standards to ensure the fruity notes and delicate style that we love so much at Giscours.
La Sirène de Giscours is an accessible, elegant wine with a range of aromas marked by fruit, beautiful freshness on the palate, and silky tannins that melt into a creamy texture. With its delicate Margaux touches, it can be drunk young but will also age very well. A little gem of which we are very proud.

Ratings & Reviews
94 Points - James Suckling:
"This has so much pure fruit with clarity and brightness. Crushed stone, too. It’s medium-bodied with a racy tannin structure and excellent length. Second wine of Giscours. A blend of 70% cabernet sauvignon, 12% merlot, 9% petit verdot and 9% cabernet franc. Already impressively delicious, but best after 2024." (Jan 2022)
94 Points - Decanter Magazine:
"Gorgeous pink rim to the wine. Softly floral on the nose, violets and roses. The palate has such a smooth and velvety texture that really stands out - it frames the overall feel giving structure and support to the spicy, muscular mid-palate. This has power but wrapped up delicately, delivering smoothness and elegance but also precision and definition. Lovely layers, the tannins take hold and you're reminded this is still a young wine, but then you get this lick of spice, the florality of the fruit and the density and length. One to buy and hold on to for a few more years. A blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Merlot, 9% Cabernet Franc and 9% Petit Verdot." - Georgina Hindle (Jan 2022)
90-92 Points - Vinous Media:
"A gorgeous second wine, 2019 La Sirène de Giscours will give readers a very good idea of the recent developments here. In the glass, the La Sirène is rich, ample and enveloping, the 2019 offers tremendous appeal and tons of sheer sexiness. Black cherry, plum, chocolate, spice and licorice add to an impression of darkness that pairs nicely with the wine's soft contours and overall succulence." - Antonio Galloni (Jun 2020)
90-92 Points - Jeb Dunnuck:
"The second wine of Giscours in Margaux, the 2019 La Sirene De Giscours reveals a deep purple color as well as lots of juicy black cherry and mulberry fruits that give way to more tobacco, cedar, and earth with time in the glass. Medium-bodied, nicely textured, and elegant on the palate, it's a terrific, fruit-forward, delicious second wine."  (June 2020)
