Notes from the Distillery:
Talisker 10 Year Old, the stalwart of the Talisker family, is a powerful Single Malt Whisky, with a sea-salty nose, spicy complexity, smoky-sweet character and signature peppery finish. It is double distilled to create a rich, deep character embodying the maritime characteristics of a coastal whisky, and then aged for a minimum of 10 years in American oak casks. Every sip is a taste of the Isle of Skye itself, one of the most remote, windswept yet beautiful landscapes in Scotland.

This is one of the most awarded Single Malt Scotch Whiskies in the world including gold medal winner at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition 2018. Delivered in a beautifully crafted maritime gift box, Talisker 10 Year old makes a perfect gift for those looking to explore island single malt whiskies, known for their general smoky style.

Serving Suggestion:
The warm, subtle smokiness of Talisker 10 Year Old should be sampled neat.

TASTING NOTES:
Appearance: Brilliant gold.
Body: Full and rich.
Nose: Powerful peat-smoke with just a hint of the sea-water salt of fresh oysters, with a citrus sweetness.
Palate: A rich dried-fruit sweetness, clouds of smoke, strong barley-malt flavours, warming and intense. Peppery at the back of the mouth.
Finish: Huge, long, warming and peppery in the finish with an appetizing sweetness

Awards/Reviews:

95 Points, Finalist, Tried & True - Ultimate Spirits Competition 2021

90 Points - Whisky Advocate

"Another that should need no introduction. The thing to look for in Talisker, as with all smoky whiskies, is sweetness that gives the requisite balance to the drying effect of smoke. Underneath Talisker’s smoke, which ain't as all-pervading as Lagavulin, is a sweet pear-like quality. When young there are notes of the land: heather, moor, sweet seaweed, and a finish that has a distinctive cracked black pepper hit."

Best Buy - Wine Enthusiast

"The piquant nose offers immediate and stunning notes of sea salt, peat reek and black pepper; aeration time encourages deeper aromas including malt and almond. Palate entry is malty sweet and nicely peppery, then at midpalate the peaty iodine character kicks in. Finishes well as it gives off fiery, peaty/tobacco-like flavors."
