Notes about Whiskey:
Full of aroma and flavour, Redbreast 15 Year Old benefits from a strong contribution from distillates which have matured in Oloroso sherry casks, giving it its trademark Christmas cake character.
Nose: A complex spicy and fruity aroma with toasted wood notes evident.
Taste: Full flavoured and complex; a harmonious balance of spicy, creamy, fruity, sherry and toasted notes.
Finish: Satisfyingly long, the complex flavours linger on the palate.
Best Irish Pot Still (13-20 Years) - World Whiskies Awards 2023
"Intense and rich, the nose opens with apricot, plum, brown sugar and cinnamon, before milk chocolate, vanilla, baked fruits and caramel build into a thick, mouth-filling palate. A drying bitter chocolate comes through on the finish."
Platinum - Ascot Awards 2023
"Bold ABV is well integrated with this structured Irish sipper. Orange blossom, honey, and oak aromas are beefed up on the palate with a big floral and citrus pop. A very nice sip."
Double Gold - SF World Spirits Competition 2023
95 Points - Intl Wine & Spirits Competition 2023
"Beautifully delicate and characterful in style. Fresh green apple, pear and lemon zest enthuse delightfully on the palate, which is ingrained with juicy tropical fruits and warming spice. Succulent peaches with milk chocolate fudge carry through the lingering finish."
Gold - Intl Spirits Challenge 2023, 2022, 2021
Gold - Irish Whiskey Masters 2023, 2022, 2021
96 Pts, Finalist - Ultimate Spirits Challenge 2021
"This benchmark whisky showcases a wonderful array of stone fruits on the nose with suggestions of cigar box, leather, and iodine. The palate is stately and structured, with notes of golden raisin, toasted Brazil nuts, and cracked black pepper that surges into the finish."
92 Points - Whisky Advocate
"Redbreast 12 year old is a classic pure pot still Irish whiskey; where can you go from there? This new 15 year old expression is more muscular (bottling at 46% and not chill filtering certainly helps). I do enjoy the silky/oily texture, the bold resinous oak spice grip on the finish, and the rich nutty toffee, fig, black raspberry, chocolaty, chewy nougat throughout the palate."
