About the Whisky:
Aberlour Casg Annamh – meaning ‘rare cask’ in Scots Gaelic – is a no age statement (NAS) single malt created in small batches from whisky matured in oloroso Sherry casks. The end result is a distinctively rich and fruity finish.

AGEING: Matured in a trio of cask types: European sherry oak and two types of American oak

Tasting Notes:

NOSE: Rich and sweet with notes of tangy orange, glazed cherries, raisins and a hint of ginger

PALATE: Sweet, fruity flavors of apple cinnamon crumble and ripe peaches with spicy notes of liquorice and cloves

FINISH: Long, rich and fruity with a touch of dry spice

“A new small-batch addition to the Aberlour line-up, Casg Annamh (Gaelic for ‘rare cask’) has been matured in European and American oak oloroso sherry casks. Rich, buttery caramel aromas, grilled pineapple, and ginger. The palate is smooth, and yields spicy vanilla, tangerines, and cloves. Lots of black pepper and licorice in the relatively long finish. Less complex than the distillery’s A’bunadh.” - Whisky Advocate
