About the Whisky

AGEING: European Oloroso sherry oak casks
The result is a heavier, creamier single malt than most have ever experienced – memorably flavoursome, with an intense raisin character.
PROOF: 122 (61%)

Tasting Notes
Color: Deep rich amber.

Nose: Terrific aromas of allspice, praline and spiced orange, in harmony with deep notes of Oloroso Sherry.

Palate: Orange, black cherries, dried fruit and ginger, spiked with dark bitter chocolate and enriched with lingering Sherry and oak. Superlatively full bodied and creamy.

Finish: Robust and long lasting, with bittersweet notes of exotic spices, dark chocolate and oak.

Best Speyside Single Malt (No Age Statement) - World Whiskies Awards 2022

"Lots of vanilla, honey, raisins, banana, mango and lychee on the nose. The palate brings cinnamon, custard cream and a nice mouthfeel. Then comes apple, pear, cloves and amaretto for a long finish."

"Moreish and rich, with a fantastic muscularity of structure throughout. Bold on the palate, bursting with notes of sweet dates that are beautifully combined with molasses, silky nuts, warming ginger and mead."

“Intriguing and challenging bouquet of aromas of roasted nuts, old leather, black pepper, old oak and dried fruit. Palate entry is aggressive in spirit, but sweet and pruny; midpalate is drier and features tastes of leather and grain. Aftertaste teems with oak resin, hard cheese (meaning, rancio), candied nuts, candied fruit and dark honey.”

"Very rich, with dark berry notes on the nose, hazelnuts, caramel, cinnamon, and orange fondant creams. The palate is full and supple, with polished oak, honey, new leather, raisins, prunes, and a hint of cloves. Very long in the finish, with plain chocolate, black pepper, fruity spices, and oak." - Whisky Advocate
