About the Whisky:

Matured in hand-selected American ex-Bourbon barrels from the distillation year of 2009, this whisky unfolds as a delightfully complex single malt. Its flavour profile is intricately layered, featuring nuanced highlights of rich vanilla, an array of luscious tropical fruits, and a subtle yet distinct hint of coconut. Aged for over fifteen years, this whisky is presented non-chill-filtered and at cask strength, perfectly preserving its full, natural flavour profile and its rich, balanced character.

100 Proof

Tasting Notes:

Flavor: Bright honey and syrup dance with pronounced roasted almond and stone fruit flavours. Layers of vanilla and buttery undertones follow, accompanied by the subtle aroma of malt and toasted bread, ending with the charming scent of rose essential oil.

Palate: Like savouring silky almond tofu, the intense tropical fruit fragrance unfolds. Dense vanilla ice cream enriches the texture, reminiscent of indulging in a sweet feast of exquisite buttery cake.

Awards/Reviews:

Grade: A (Drinkhacker)

"This release was aged across “hand-selected” American ex-bourbon barrels. Light and bright on the nose, early aromas lean into toasted honeycomb and overripe apricot. Toasted, slivered almonds roll in shortly thereafter, followed even further on by buttered sourdough and malt beer. It’s at once captivating and accessible, showcasing some intrinsic malt character while incorporating enough pronounced fruit and wood sugars to keep things interesting, all of which are capped off by a toasted, bready quality. Bread flavors quickly build on the first sip and are joined in short order by preserved tropical fruit — think guava paste spread atop toast. Rose and lavender-infused simple syrup meets dense almond cookie on the midpalate, followed by apricot preserves and green figs on the finish."
