Notes from the Winemaker:

This J non-vintage Brut gracefully opens up with crisp lemon peel, honeysuckle and delicate yeast aromas. Upon entry, these notes follow through to a mix of Fuji apple and grapefruit interlaced with toast, caramel and almond flavors on the mid-palate. The acidity adds just enough liveliness and the citrus zest leads to a lingering, warm pear and lush finish. Demonstrating an illustrious combination of yesterday and today, its fresh exuberance showcases layers of depth and complexity.

Celebrating twenty years of winemaking excellence, J Cuvée 20 proudly displays an exceptional, stylish assemblage from our best cool-climate vineyard sites in the Russian River Valley.

Ratings & Reviews

96 Points & Gold - Decanter World Wine Awards 2019:
"Beautifully harmonious with intriguing layers of quince, oyster shell, citrus, plum and lime peel. A dry, soft mousse which to be enjoyed now or within the next few years."

93 Points - The Somm Journal:
"Hello, ripe pear; hello, vanilla; hello, peanut and cashew— this light gold blend of 51% Chardonnay, 40% Pinot Noir, and 9% Pinot Meunier greets you with gusto on the nose while bearing flavors of lemon tart and peach cobbler on a creamy palate with a snappy, slightly quinine-bitter finish. J Vineyards & Winery’s inspired suggestion to serve it alongside seared black cod with caramelized cauliflower and Meyer lemon is, truth be told, one we can’t get out of our heads."

91 Points - Wine Enthusiast Magazine:
"Broadly defined in honeysuckle, peach, brioche and moderate acidity, this is a crowd-pleasing and immensely likable sparkling wine. The finish lingers on a deep, nutty tone. Virginie Boone" - (11/1/2018)

90 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"The NV Cuvée 20 is a blend of 50% Chardonnay, 40% Pinot Noir and 10% Meunier, mainly from the 2016 vintage, although it does incorporate about 25% reserve wine. It opens with a touch of flinty reduction from its four years' tirage, then gives way to golden apples, toast, pastry and floral nuances. The palate is light-bodied, creamy and refreshing, striking a fine balance between savory tones and bright fruit, and it has a long, layered finish." -Erin Brooks (July 14, 2022)
