About the Winery:
Jankara Winery was founded by Renato and Angela Spanu in 2006 when they purchased 21 acres of virgin hillside soil. Today the winery has 11 acres under vine. The Spanus are flanked by winemaker Gianni Menotti.

Tasting Notes:
Straw yellow with green reflections. Great balance between acidity, alcohol, and fruit with extremely rich, intense aromas of white flowers and almonds, along with complex tropical nuances that pleasingly linger on the palate.

Food Pairing:
Pairs well with fresh seafood, including raw fish and shellfish, and oysters in particular. It has the structure to accompany white meats such as rabbit, chicken, and pork.

Ratings & Reviews

89 Points - James Suckling:
"A floral and fragrant vermentino that has aromas of peaches, apples and honeysuckle. It’s full-bodied, ripe and oily. Aromatic but weighty. Drink now." (Jun 2024)
