About the vineyard:
Named for Meyer Corporation, the largest manufacturer of cookware in the United States. Stanley proudly sits as the company’s CEO. Meyer Vineyard Cabernet is produced from a vineyard block within the Hestan Vineyards Estate just below Helen and Stanley's home. Those estate grapes and the skills of Thomas Rivers Brown brought our 2014 Meyer Cab to be named the #8 wine in the world on Wine Spectator’s Top 100 list of 2017. Meyer Cab continues to shine as our vintages progress.
Notes from the Winemaker:
Our Hestan and Meyer labels are the product of renowned winemaker Thomas Rivers Brown, with the philosophy that quality wine begins in the vineyard. Only the finest grapes are meticulously hand-selected for our Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay, all grown on our estate vineyards.
The lots for Meyer Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon are kept separate throughout winemaking to retain individual block and varietal characters. Small capacity fermentation tanks, carefully timed pump-overs and punch-downs, a mix of native and cultured yeasts, the finest French cooperage and extended aging result in a wine noted for its deep flavor and velvety tannins.

Ratings & Reviews
93 Points - James Suckling:
"Notes of crushed blueberries and ripe plums with sweet vanilla, spiced oak and coffee. Full-bodied and dry with ripe and rather soft tannins, a juicy-fruit core and a touch of minerality. Long and mellow. Cocoa and licorice to the ripe fruit at the end. Drink or hold." (Nov 2021)
92 Points - Wine Enthusiast:
"Saturated with delicious red and black fruits, this full-bodied wine hugs them with warm, fine-grained tannins for a cozy, rich texture that leads to a lingering finish. Blueberries, baking spices and spearmint develop with each sip. Best from 2025." – Jim Gordon (Dec 2023)
