Our estate Linda Falls Vineyard is comprised of seven hilltop acres on Howell Mountain, this small vineyard produces one of three vineyard designate Cabernets in the Heitz Cellar collection. Selected for its unique position and topography on Howell Mountain, Linda Falls Vineyard allows for a distinct terroir expression in our classic, Heitz style.

100% Cabernet Sauvignon, farmed sustainably and certified organic by CCOF and Certified Fish Friendly Farming.

Tasting Notes:

The palate is unlike any other wine that we produce. The elevation, soil, and aspect force the grapes to struggle. This hardship produces a wine of incredible density and structure, magnified by the characteristics of the vintage. The combination of tart and ripe black and red fruits with high mountain herbs of juniper and Douglas Fir make this one of the most unique expressions of pure Cabernet Sauvignon in the world. -- Brittany Sherwood, Winemaker

"The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Linda Falls Vineyard has really come together during the last phase of élevage. Black cherry, espresso, chocolate and licorice are all potently expressed. Howell Mountain Cabernet has more than enough density to stand up the new oak that runs through all the 2018s at Heitz. If anything, this Howell Mountain fruit handles the new oak best of all the Cabernets in the range.
