Notes from the Winemaker:
Heggies vineyard is the sort of place a man would sit on his horse in silence at sunset and marvel at the ways of nature. Through the combination of innovative viticultural practices and unique ‘terroir’, this challenging and picturesque estate vineyard produces distinctive, balanced wines – beautifully structured and long on flavor.

Nestled in the high country of the Eden Valley, Heggies Vineyard is situated at an altitude of 550m above sea level where the soil is a thin layer of grey sandy loam over clay and decomposed rock. With only 787mm of average annual rainfall, the vines compete vigorously for moisture and nutrient, producing wines of full flavor, fineness and balance.

Ratings & Reviews

90 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate (2010 vintage):
"The 2010 Chardonnay has a pronounced nose of ripe apricots, passion fruit and green mango with nuances of toast, yeast extract and nuts. Medium-full bodied, richly fruited and with a satiny texture, it has refreshing acidity and a long toasty / nutty finish. Drink it now through 2015." - Lisa Perrotti-Brown (Dec 2011)

90 Points - Wine Spectator Magazine
(2010 vintage):
"Polished, lively and appealing for its creamy pear and spice flavors, dancing easily through the deftly balanced finish. Drink now through 2015. 150 cases imported." –HS (Web Only 2012)
