Winemaker Notes:
Named in honor of co-proprietor Jennifer Hartford, this wine is defined by its power, concentration of fruit, structure and an underlying elegance. A wine that is built to age, Jennifer’s proves that not all Pinot Noirs are shy, retiring, delicate souls. Jennifer’s Pinot Noir is sourced from a vineyard in the windy and very cool Sebastopol Hills subregion of the Russian River Valley AVA. The Jennifer’s Pinot blocks are planted to the Swan and Pommard selections, and Dijon 777 on this Bloomfield Road site. The dark color, intense black fruit aroma and flavor profile are a testament to the terroir of this site.

Tasting Notes
Jennifer’s Pinot Noir is both elegant and powerful. It features aromas of boysenberries, violets, and lavender followed by flavors of black raspberries, black tea, and anise. The 2022 Jennifer’s Pinot is very dense, but with fine tannins and a silky, persistent mouthfeel. This wine is an expression of one of the most unique neighborhoods in the Russian River Valley.
Ratings & Reviews
96 Points - Jeb Dunnuck:
"Pouring a medium ruby/red color, the 2022 Pinot Noir Jennifer's gives up ripe and concentrated aromas of kirsch, toasty incense, crushed flowers, and dark stones. It’s medium to full-bodied and weightless but has a broader shouldered feel, with plush, ripe tannins, good freshness, an even texture, and a long, mouthwatering finish. It displays a lot of polish and is going to be an age-worthy wine to enjoy over the next 15 years. – Audrey Frick (Jun 2024)
94 Points - The Wine Independent:
"Medium ruby-purple in color, the 2022 Jennifer's Pinot Noir jumps from the glass with scents of redcurrants, Bing cherries, and raspberry leaves followed by wafts of wood smoke, dried herbs, and dusty soil. The medium to full-bodied palate delivers smoky red berry flavors with a light chewiness to the texture and a refreshing herbal lift on the finish. Native strains were used for alcoholic and malolactic fermentation and the wine is unfined and unfiltered. Jennifer’s is sourced from a vineyard south of Sebastopol influenced by the cold maritime air feeding the Petaluma Wind Gap. This very cool site ripens late in the season and produces distinct wines with great aging potential." – LPB (Apr 2024)
