About the Distillery:

A British gentleman, Anthony Hardy (also known as Antione Hardy), founded Hardy cognac in 1863. Five generations later, the house of Hardy is still recognized for its premium quality cognacs and a smooth, lightly-oaked taste.

About the Cognac:

Hardy XO Rare Cognac is a version of the “Tradition” range from the house of Hardy Cognac.

A harmonious blend of Grande and Petite Champagne eaux-de-vie, this is XO Rare Fine Champagne in all its fullness after twenty years of aging in Limousin oak barrels.

Bottled in a contemporary style decanter, this signature XO Rare cognac "immerses" you in a world like no other: draped in its vermilion dress tinged with amber, its fresh rose petal, its ripe date and its smells. cigar boxes are a delight.

The silky texture that comes with the maturity of a large XO is only matched by its incredibly long-lasting flavors.

Ratings/Reviews:

94-95 Points - Vert De Vin

"The nose is powerful, fruity, elegant and offers complexity as well as a fine incisive side. There are notes of dried grapefruit zest, candied apple and more lightly dried orange associated with small touches of lychee in syrup, dried lemon, orange blossom as well as hints of caramelized berries, raisins, citron, rancio, caramel, toasted cocoa, fine hints of pepper and dried oak. The palate is fruity, nicely balanced, well managed, elegant and offers a fine freshness, finesse, a fine tangy structure as well as a very nice smoothness, greediness, fine concentration, fine grain and a fine richness (in power). On the palate, this Cognac expresses notes of marmalade, clementine, crystallized lemon and more lightly peach in syrup associated with a subtle hint of dried apricot, small yellow raisins, rancio/cedar as well as hints of pastry, dried almond and a very discreet hint of dry tobacco/cigar. Good length and good persistence."
