About This Wine:
Chiles Mill Vineyard at 1200 feet elevation overlooks Chiles Canyon and the remnant walls of the grist mill built by pioneer J.B. Chiles. Vines on these red hillsides produce a spicy black pepper and berried wine.
Heritage Zinfandel cuttings: Pacini, Picchetti, Geyserville, Hambrecht Rootstocks: 110R, St. George Soil Red Chert veined with Green Serpentine, our namesake soils, intermixed with Sobrante Loam
Aged 14 months in 70% American Oak and 30% French Oak, 20% new
