Notes from the Winemaker:

In the glass:
Bright and golden in color.

On the nose:
The attractive and expressive nose evokes flavors of ripe red blackcurrants, wheat, dried fruits
and gingerbread. A promise-filled introduction of outstanding concentrated yet refreshing gourmet

On the palate:
The palate is dominated by refreshing mineral notes combined with a warm and consistent flavour echoing the wine's richness and plumpness. From under a rich expression of ripe and dried fruit, a gentle persistent freshness comes through. A subtle and beautifully crafted framework which is the signature of Gosset champagnes.

Food Pairing:
Undoubtedly a wine for the table, a perfect match with sweet and subtly spiced dishes of cooked fruit, sweet and sour, tajines, etc. This Champagne is a dual personality that gladly complements elaborate dishes with simplicity as by nature it is both tender and tense and sophisticated and confident.

Ratings & Reviews

92 Points - Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar:
"Powerful, pungent aromas of pear, orange pith, baking spices and dried flowers, with a mineral overtone. Dry and incisive on the palate, offering lively citrus and orchard fruit flavors and slow-building smokiness. Nervy and taut on the finish, leaving notes of allspice and candied citrus fruits behind." - Josh Raynolds (Dec 2011)

91 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:

"The NV Brut Grande Reserve opens with a bouquet of chalk, slate and wet stones. It is a beautifully pointed, energetic wine endowed with gorgeous drive from start to finish. Red berries, dried flowers and mint are some of the nuances that inform the finish. This is Lot # L0428123. Anticipated maturity: 2011-2016." - Antonio Galloni (Nov 2011)

91 Points - Wine Spectator Magazine:
"Lively, with good balance and subtle flavors of green apple, Meyer lemon, chalk and spice. Lightly crunchy, with a fresh, lip-smacking finish. Drink now. 41,000 cases made." AN (Dec 31, 2011)

91 Points - Wine Enthusiast Magazine:
"This is one of my favorite nonvintage Champagnes, rich and fresh at the same time, with a serious character that reminds you that great Champagne is a wine as well as bubbles. Complex, weighty and delicious, this is a Champagne that should be enjoyed with food." R.V. (12/1/2001)
