Ratings & Reviews
91 Points - Wine Spectator Magazine:
"Vivid acidity creates a mouthwatering impression that carries the well-spiced profile of pomegranate, melon, toast and pink grapefruit zest flavors. Firm and focused, with smoke and oyster shell accents on the finish. Disgorged November 2016. Drink now through 2022. 10,000 cases made, 247 cases imported." - AN (Issue Dec 15, 2018)
90 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"The NV Rosé Premier Cru Extra Brut is a blend of 70% Chardonnay (from the coolish lieut-dit Louvières in Mesnil-sur-Oger) and 30% Pinot Noir. This sample comes from the 2011 vintage and has been disgorged with three grams per liter in March 2015. The cuvée has a light rose color and offers a very pure and fresh nose, with delicate red fruit aromas and lovely mineral notes. There is a lovely delicate fruit intertwined with a firm mineral structure and a lot of salt in the finish. Very expressive, but also finesse-full. Beautifully fresh, although still very young." - Stephan Reinhardt (Jun 2016)
92 Points - Stephen Tanzer:
"(roughly 60% chardonnay and 40% pinot noir; L 02 13): Pale orange. Bright red berry and orange zest aromas are complicated by notes of candied rose and chalky minerals. Nervy and precise, offering intense strawberry and raspberry flavors and a touch of buttery brioche. Shows noteworthy clarity and cut on the powerful, stony finish." - Josh Raynolds (December 2013)
